I have also come to the realization that he plays me like a bass drum in a marching band. one foot after the other in a repetitive, but time keeping manner. the shows that this child puts on should have their own stage and probably an award show of some sort. It seems like there is an excuse for everything and if nothing else works he can always resort to crying and saying that any, pronounceable by a three year old, body part hurts. Now dad is a wad of play dough fit for molding. He was playing swords with a neighbor kid. swords is one of the greatest of all American childhood past times, in my opinion. anyway, he maybe hits this kid a little too hard and starts getting his cry on. as a responsible, or as responsible as i can muster being, father i go to investigate the strange noise coming from the upstairs hallway along with the other lids father. the child, who is a year younger than Bradley is carried away by his loving father and i am left with my son. Bradley knows he is busted. i know he is busted. the two of us look at each other and he then grabs the back of his head and starts crying. he told me how he was going to hide in the closet and that his friend was gonna find him and then he hit his head on the closet door. of cours he has no idea why his playmate was crying.
I haven't figured out how to bust him about lying to me. he makes me feel so bad because i like to think that i can believe him and i know he is lying to me, but i don't know the whole truth. did Bradley hit the kid? did the kid just stand in the wrong place at the wrong time. he is only two. maybe the kid just hurt himself and Bradley didn't know how to handle it. he had a problem with real violence. sure if we are just playing around and there is a fake injury he is just fine, but if someone really gets hurt, especially if there is blood, you had better watch out. I guess my point is that i don't feel right punishing him without real proof and i don't think that i can acquire said proof without 24/7 surveillance. of course this feat is impossible so i guess i just need to be a little more nosey and nail his tail when the opportunity presents itself.
these stories crack me up!! Keep 'em comin'!
